Teaching and Research Interests:

Art Projects – Pictures of My Father (March 2015) Arts Council England Funded, Surface Gallery, Nottingham
Perambulist Somnambulist (2013-Present) – Lighthouse Gallery, Wolverhampton 2013
Invisible Boundaries (2007) Bath Spa University Gallery
– (Derby University PhD) Chapters include - Photographic Fiction and Loss, the Domestic and Personal and the Archive. Throughout all chapters I am interested in the continued dominance of the singular image in contemporary writing at a time when digital technology and culture are making the multiplicity of images prevalent.

Art and Pedagogy – Senior Fellow HEA (2014)
HEA Fellowship Award 2009

Art and Health - Wolverhampton NHS Primary Care Trust (2009- Present) – I have created several NHS Primary Healthcare supported arts projects using visual imagery/exhibitions as recuperation at Snow Hill 2009 and West Park Hospital 2009-10. A project with dementia patients Cedar Ward, Penn Hospital 2010-2011 explores the relationships between images, making art and therapeutic recovery and well-being. Cedar Ward created a sustainable model for therapeutic practice, this notion of sustainable practices in Healthcare is at the heart of my recent research projects.

Best Use of Visual Art in Healthcare and at the Nationally recognised and nominated for Building Better Healthcare Awards 2010
